From the airport to the city center

Getting from Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) to the heart of Marseille is straightforward, but the journey is not included in the Marseille City Pass. You will need to buy a separate ticket for the transfer.

The most direct connection is the airport shuttle bus (line A1), which departs directly in front of the terminals. It will take you to Saint-Charles Central Station in the city center in around 30 to 50 minutes (depending on traffic) without any stops in between. The buses usually run every 10 minutes during the day.

Once you have arrived in the city center, you can use your Marseille City Pass for the entire city transport network (bus, metro, streetcar). The mobility services included in the pass are not valid for travel to and from the airport.

  • Download the RTM Marseille app in advance to conveniently check routes, timetables and stops in real time.
  • Activate the pass the first time you use it (on local transport or at an attraction), preferably in the morning, to make full use of the selected duration of 24, 48 or 72 hours.
  • Please note that the transfer to and from Marseille Airport (MRS) is not included in the City Pass. There are additional travel costs for this.
  • Keep your card safe, as it will not be replaced if you lose it.

Excursions outside Masrseille

The Marseille City Pass is valid for all journeys within the urban RTM network (bus, metro, streetcar). Journeys to more distant destinations such as Aix-en-Provence or Cassis on regional trains (TER) or intercity buses are not included in the card.

Nevertheless, it is worth exploring the beautiful surroundings. Some of the most beautiful destinations on the outskirts of the city can even be reached with the City Pass:

The Calanques National Park is right on the city's doorstep. Take bus line B1 (from Rond-Point du Prado) to the final stop "Luminy", a perfect starting point for hikes in the famous rocky coves. This journey is fully covered by your City Pass.

Even if the City Pass is not valid outside the city limits, you benefit from optimal connections: You can take the metro free of charge to Saint-Charles Central Station, the starting point for all regional train and bus connections, and save money on all inner-city routes.
